| For a shorter walk - After visiting Birch Hall Inn, return to Incline Cottage continue passed the cottage following the path up a gentle incline. Pass the waterworks (3.2 miles, NZ 828 017) on the right. Cross the road through the gates (3.3 miles, NZ 830 016), continue to the end of the path (4 miles, NZ 834 014) turn right to follow Beck Hole Road for 175 yards back in to Goathland. | |||

Along the way passing a number of information boards and art highlight the history of the area. Follow the trail to Grosmont. |
